At Jones Badminton Academy, we deliver fun, engaging and professionally-led sessions through Badminton England's Shuttle Stars Programme. The Shuttle Stars Programme has recently been launched as the official grassroots pathway for 5-11 year olds across the nation. This national programme, delivered by our expert coaches will introduce young players to the game in an age-appropriate and inclusive way.

Shuttle Stars is a structured two-year programme designed to grow with your child. It’s made up of six, progressive, 12-week stages, each introducing new skills, movements, shots and fun game-based activities. As players advance, they’ll build confidence and broaden their badminton knowledge in a way that’s age-appropriate, engaging, and rewarding. Every stage includes opportunities for friendly competition and end-of-stage festivals, helping to keep children motivated and excited to return each week.

 

Jones Badminton Academy officially launched in September 2025 in Milton Keynes! To celebrate our launch, we hosted two free recruitment festivals that introduced over 80 children to badminton for the very first time. The events were a fantastic success — giving young players the chance to pick up a racket, meet our friendly coaching team, and experience just how fun and rewarding badminton can be.​​

 

We pride ourselves on the fact that we work a wide range of players, including many who have never played before. We are passionate about encouraging as many children as possible to explore our wonderful sport!
