Join Our Classes
At Jones Badminton Academy, we provide fun, engaging and professionally-led badminton coaching for children and young people aged 5–15 years. Our sessions are designed to help players develop confidence, learn new skills and enjoy being active in a positive and supportive environment.
For our younger players aged 5–11 years, all sessions are delivered through Badminton England's Shuttle Stars Programme – the national grassroots pathway designed to introduce children to badminton in a fun, inclusive and age-appropriate way. Through a series of progressive stages, players develop their movement skills, racket control, shot techniques and tactical understanding while enjoying exciting games, challenges and activities.
As players grow older and become more experienced, our coaching continues to build upon these foundations. We provide opportunities for players aged 11–15 years to further develop their technical, tactical and physical skills within a structured coaching environment, helping them continue their badminton journey and reach their individual potential.
Our sessions are led by an experienced coaching team that includes current international badminton players and qualified coaches who are passionate about inspiring the next generation. We pride ourselves on creating an environment where every child feels welcomed, supported and challenged, regardless of their age, experience or ability level.

Session details:
We are currently reorganising our Milton Keynes class schedule ahead of the new academic year and have places available across several of our existing sessions. If you're interested in joining Jones Badminton Academy, please get in touch and our team will be happy to discuss the most suitable class for your child.
As part of our continued growth, we are also launching three brand-new classes from September 2026. New sessions will be available on Tuesdays (5:30–6:30pm and 6:30–7:30pm) and Thursdays (6:15–7:15pm), creating even more opportunities for young players to get involved and develop their badminton skills.
Sessions cost £10 per player, with payments made monthly in advance via our secure direct debit partner.

Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is the home of Jones Badminton Academy and where our journey first began in September 2025. Since launching with our first recruitment festivals that introduced more than 80 children to badminton, JBA has grown into one of the area's leading junior badminton programmes, helping young players aged 5–15 years discover, enjoy and develop a lifelong love for the sport.
Today, our Milton Keynes programme operates across multiple venues and offers sessions for a wide range of ages and abilities, from complete beginners picking up a racket for the first time through to more experienced players looking to further develop their skills. All sessions are delivered by our experienced coaching team, which includes current international badminton players and qualified coaches committed to creating a fun, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Head Coach and Founder, England International Sam Jones, is on court in the majority of our sessions and oversees the entire programme, ensuring every session is delivered to the highest possible standard.
